We believe that a continuing education in the arts for people of all ages is incredibly important. Our goal is to offer a variety of classes, and to expand that programming as much as possible.

“Next Stop: Broadway!” is back! This is our biggest kids program of the season, back for its third year.
In this cabaret-style show, students will be performing scenes and songs from musicals. Every student gets an opportunity to shine in this format. They will work on acting, singing, dancing, and learn the ropes of being in a full show.
These will be early evening rehearsals, 5:30-8pm, Monday through Thursday.
Space is very limited, so enroll today!
The program is only $150 per student.
“Next Stop: Broadway!” will be lead by Modern Prometheans artistic director Paul Cosca.

F.A.Q. for Next Stop: Broadway!
Q. How many students will be involved?
A. There are 15 spots available.
Q. Does my student need previous theatre experience?
A. Nope! In fact, a theatre camp like this is a perfect way to try a new thing to see if they like it. Whether they go on to do more theatre or not, we do everything possible to make sure they have a good time while they are with us.
Q. What is the rehearsal schedule?
A. Here is the full rehearsal schedule:
July 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, August 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th.
Performances on August 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.
All rehearsals 5:30-8pm. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7pm. Sunday show begins at 2pm.
Q. What does my student need to bring?
A. They need to come dressed to move (athletic-type clothing, closed toed shoes), and bring a water bottle. Anything else they need will be provided.
Q. Are there costumes and props?
A. We have all the kids dress in all black (we suggest black shorts/leggings and a black t-shirt or tank top). Some songs will have small costume pieces added. Props will be added as the songs require.
Q. Are scholarships available?
A. Because we are only able to accept a very limited number of students, we are not able to offer any scholarships for this camp (unless a donor reaches out to us to make a donation for this). We also are not offering any sibling discounts. We always work to make our educational experiences as affordable as we possibly can, and this is no exception.
Q. Can I sponsor a student to go to the camp?
A. Absolutely! Please send an email to themodernprometheans@gmail.com and we’ll make arrangements.
Q. Why are spots so limited?
A. Our enrollment is limited by our space. We only have 20 seats in our theatre, so we don’t have space to accommodate as many students and parents as we have in the past. So if you want to get your student signed up, we definitely recommend you do it right away!
