Proud as Fuck
The Modern Prometheans are excited to celebrate Pride by bringing back our hit cabaret “Proud as Fuck”!
We are specifically looking to cast performers who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community for this show.
Rehearsals are May 6th, 20th, 28th, and 30th, all at 7pm, with two or three additional rehearsals that we will add once I know everyone's schedules. The two performances are Friday, May 31st and Saturday, June 1st, both at 8pm.

Jeremy Heere is just an average teenager. That is, until he finds out about "The Squip," a tiny supercomputer that promises to bring him everything he desires most: a date with Christine, an invite to the raddest party of the year and a chance to survive life in his suburban New Jersey high school. But is being the most popular guy in school worth the risk? Be More Chill is based on the novel by Ned Vizzini. (from Concord Theatricals)

Jeremy Heere - Awkward high school junior.
Christina Canigula - High school theatre girl, sweetly dorky.
Michael Mell - Jeremy’s music-obsessed best friend.
Jake Dillinger - High school awesomeness personified.
Rich - A classic high school bully.
Chloe - The hottest girl in school, crass and confident.
Brooke - The second-hottest girl in school, and insecure.
Jenna Rolan - The girl who knows everyone’s business.
Jeremy’s Dad - Well meaning. Never wears pants.
Mr. Reyes - The drama teacher. Not a principled professional.
Scary Stockboy - Scary. Intense. Supplier of something dangerous.
The Squip - A terrifying, powerful piece of technology personified as the coolest dude around.
Ensemble
Why the $75 fee?
Be More Chill is the only licensed show in our season. In other words, it’s the only show for which we have to pay rights before we can rehearse and perform it. Before we pay for costumes, sets, designers, etc we have to pay the licensing company a little over $2000. The performance fee will help us offset that cost and allow us to actually do the show. We have no interest in profiting off of this performance fee. In fact, if we get enough performers participating, we will lower this fee for everyone accordingly.
